Pre-order the Avatar DVD

Talk for the release of the 2D version of Avatar on DVD is already buzzing.

Some of the major points relating to its release involve deleted scenes of the Na'Vi and Jake sex act. Although, rumor abounds, according to James Cameron, only 10 seconds of that scene were actually deleted in order to get the necessary PG13 rating.

Fans of his previous work may remember the relatively steamy sex act that literally steamed up the windows in his previous blockbuster "Titanic""

James Cameron Says about the deleted scenes

"We took a good 10 seconds out of that scene. So people shouldn’t [get too worked up over it],” he grinned. “I think it’s one of those cases where the fantasy vastly exceeds the reality.”

What fans can look forward to in teh upcoming "special edition" involves a full ten minutes of scenes involve Na'Vi life and some other more detailed scenes from Jakes trial to become a Na'vi tribemember.

Cameron says,

“[The fan version] will be 10 or 12 minutes longer,” he revealed. “Something like that.”

Wow, ten minutes of deleted scenes in the Avatar DVD!

"It's all wonderful stuff, but it was sort of bogging down the middle section of the movie," Cameron said.

One supposedly exciting scene that never made the big screen involves the hunt for a Sturmbeest, some sort of rhino-like creature in many colors.

"That was kind of cool," Worthington the actor who played Jake Sully said. "It was intricately designed."

This is an awesome movie. My wife amd I saw the 3-D version last night. I recommend it. The only thing we were not aware of is that it was 2 hrs and 45 mins. long, but other than that, it was really good :)
